Persephone

Persephone, Queen of the Underworld,
carries torches to guide her people through the darkness.

This is Lady Liberty,
Goddess of America, bearing a torch,
crowned with the rays of the Sun.

Originally, her name was Libera,
She who Rekindles the Sun. She was
the Roman Goddess of Liberty,
identified with the last visible waning
crescent Moon, which appears every
month just before  sunrise in the
eastern sky. She then disappears for 3
days until she rises again in the WEST,
just above the setting Sun.

Today, Lady Liberty is the symbol of religious freedom for Pagans and everyone else.

In the white space, write down some of the freedoms you love, and say a prayer for the people who stand up for freedom everywhere.
