ARTICLE Submissions for Pagan Institute Report

To submit an article, send an email to the Editor.

In the "subject" write "Article Submission."

	Because of the increased problem of computer viruses, we will not accept attachments. Please include the text of your article in the body of the e-mail; if you edit for length, we won't have to. Most email services allow MUCH longer essays in the body of the email than we are likely to print. (I receive whole term papers in the body of the email with no problem.)
	We readily run  brief items (100-500 words).
	We are especially interested in reflective essays, Pagan prayers, items on raising Pagan kids, accounts of Pagan involvement in social justice, charity, and interfaith activities.
	We can't pay; if you submit material you are giving us non-exclusive rights to print it. This means you can give or sell non-exclusive rights to someone else.
	By submitting an article, you are identifying it as your creation. If it is not, please include a means of contacting the author (such as a URL); FYI, press releases are always in the common domain, as is anything written over 75 years ago.
	NO CHAIN LETTERS...not even if the Goddess appears with golden tablets and is going to  take you if you don't build a temple out of a million petitions folded into origami legos.
	We don't guarantee placement.
	Deadline is the 25th of each month.

We Pagans are readers! If you have a favorite book, be it one that helped you on your path, or, one that you simply enjoyed, send us a review.
BOOK REVIEW Submissions for Pagan Institute Report:

To submit a book review, Send an email to the Editor. 
In the "subject" write "Book Review Submission."

	Include author, publisher, year of publication and list price.
	Tell in 50-500 words why you liked the book and what it does well.
	We will publish reviews for selected books for adults and for children.
	We also welcome reviews of music, films, and other media.

Please allow at least 1 week for transfer of mail from the PO box to the editor.

Announcements without essential facts risk being left out since I still haven't mastered how to "have eternity at my command."  If we don't know you, we reserve the right to ask questions, since I'm also short of omniscience and the crystal ball cracked. Preference is given for non-commercial,  wheelchair accessible, and child-friendly programs. We especially like to support programs with a social justice or scholarly component.

We provide advertising for other Pagan groups at no charge, though we appreciate reciprocal publicity of this publication from other Pagan groups whose events we publicize.

	Please avoid attachments.  In the body of the email please provide a concise announcement specifying date & time, location, cost, sponsorship, and contact for more information. Because we're using Dreamweaver, all rich text is stripped from your submission before editing. We charge to place an HTML ad.
	Include a telephone number or email addy   in your message, so the editor can contact you. If we don't know you,  we reserve the right to ask questions. We need to know whom we are publicizing: group affiliation or reference; we reserve the right to inquire about the organization's policies regarding racism, inclusivity,and illegal activities. If you don't include a web-site, please include your mission-statement or a brief statement about your group's principle ideas and purpose. We ask LOTS of questions when major fundraising is involved, for the protection of the community.
	All submissions are subject to editing for length.  We give extra space and preference for events which are appropriate for children,  are wheelchair accessible, include ASL (sign-language), have a social justice component (food collection is only 1 way to do this), or are affiliated with Unitarian Universalism.
	While our mission is to serve Minnesota Pagans, it seems that there is a need to reach out to nearby parts of adjacent states. We do have readers hundreds of miles from the Twin Cities. If your event is outside of the Greater Metro, or in Iowa, Wisconsin, or the Dakotas, it will be featured in their respective sections.
	Events may be announced for up to 90 days in advance, depending on newsworthiness.

	We appreciate reciprocity, which can help sustain this effort to serve the Pagan  community. As we are sending YOUR announcement to our Minnesota subscribers,  we ask you to forward our our URL to your mailing list in MN and surrounding areas.
